The Male Gaze Goes Blind: Approaching Sight and Masculinity in John 9 through Lacanian Film Theory v. Jacob Munk Rosenlund and Christina Petterson

This presentation - which is hosted by the unit for New Testament research in collaboration with C-SAC - examines the intra-sections of sight and materiality in John’s narrative of the healing of the man born blind (John 9). A presentation is given by Jacob Munk Rosenlund (ph.d.-student at Aarhus University), followed by a response from Christina Petterson (ph.d., postdoc, current freelance archival researcher with experience from several universities worldwide).
